Teachers who wish to teach online can take the four-week course Preparing to Teach Online. As this is a new course and there is a surge in desire to take it now please apply through your Associate Dean who will decide who gets each schools’ slots in the short term.
This course assumes you know basics of teaching and assessment for face-to-face classes and teaches you how to transfer these skills to the online environment. The specific modules are:
- Introduction (Start Here)
- Course Design and Pedagogy in the Online Environment
- Good Beginnings
- Developing Content
Each year there is a chance to also become a teacher of the Preparing to Teach Online Course. Watch your email for this opportunity in the second half of the winter semester if you are interested.
